I cannot program and set up devices in iPad app? Actually, it seems it can't do anything ?

Question

Hi all

I didn't find any way to program my network in the app. I have a hcl, and it is recognised.. Serial number is there in app and everything, and app is telling me power consumption data but it is telling me I have 0 lights so I'm confused.. App seems to understand I have some devices because they are consuming watts, and it draws graphs, but when I try to find those devices in the app it tells me there are none. If I go into rooms in the app, it correctly tells me I have a Lounge, that I have configured on the hcl web page, and it says the lounge is consuming 23watts.. I believe it. When I press the toggle in the app to turn the lounge off , the bulbs remain on, but the app says it is consuming 0 watts

Right now I have just one dimmer plugged into a light and it is on my table, I'm testing the system and learning about it

If I use hcl webpage in Safari on my iPad i can see my dimmer and turn the bulb on and off, but it says 0 lights in the app..why the different information?

So do I use the web page of hcl to set up my network and the app can only view it? Where do I find my dimmer in the app? Is the app just a reporting tool and that turns the report on and off? It's kinda useless to me if the app can't do anything like turn devices on and off/configure stuff. Using the web page is painful on an iPad because for example you can't drag the slider to vary the bulb brightness, it just drags the webpage around

Hi cjard,

Do you use a different account than the admin? If so it:

In Configuration -> Access Control -> User [edit] you have "Edit access rights"  please select the device for which you want to access from the application.

Greetings,

I think I used admin, but I'm not really sure:

When I first started the app it gives a screen, something about fibaro online account?

So I made an account there (pressed create account maybe.. entered some details. My online account name is waterworks)

So after I make an account, I saved those details..

And then there is another screen asking something about login also, and I entered the HCL details there -> it's just default admin/admin at the moment. There is only one user as far as I know

after that I'm logged in and looking in the app, but there isn't very much inside it, seems read only operation..

Do I have to do something with the online account?

I don't mind to perform some kind of master reset/factory settings on all the hardware if I need to; it's second hand but all new to me and not set up for anything I have at the moment so erasing it is no trouble
