How to read outside temperature from Yahoo weather

Question

Posted

I would like to read with an interval the outside temperature to set a global variable turning on or off the waterpump of my floor heating. When temperature outside (forecast) is going to be high, it's turned off at night. if during the day it's also too warm also at daytime I would like to turn it off.

But when it's cold outside at night it should be permanently on.

is it possible to read the forecasted night temperature or current temperature from for instance Yahoo weather service?

    Is there any possibility to read the outside temperature from Yahoo (or any other services)?

    I would like to use it to open or close a valve for the floor heatings based on the outside temperature .

    You can get the Yahoo temperature like this: fibaro:getValue(3, "Temperature");

    that's really simple! It works, thanks.

    is there anyway to get a list of preserved numbers from Fibaro in the HC2 (as 3 is apparently Yahoo services)?

    You can use the HC2 Toolkit Software from Krikroff to do this.
