What kind of rely would be best for a water heater. All i want to do is turn it off when i leave home (for vacation) and turn it on when i arrive home. Do you have to get a specific one? do you have to worry about the wattage? Don't want to keep flipping off the breaker every time. Thanks for the help.

    Hi amatt,

Have you since found something suitable for this use case? I would be interested in the same thing for my roof-mounted water heater / boiler.

My idea was to use a normal Fibaro relay in conjunction with a

     - this would mean that the Fibaro relay only switches the contactor (a comparatively low load of only a few Watts), while the contactor then switches the heavy load of the boiler.

I currently have a normal button switch connected to a contactor connected to the boiler and this works fine, so all I would have to do is put in the relay between the button and the contactor.

What are your thoughts? I'm not an electrician, so this idea needs to be double-checked regardless
