Yes, user plugins where avalible in one of the betas and kicked of a lot of skilled programmers to create there own. More or less like an App Store. The advantage with user plugins were that at least for me that you could define them as sensors, switches Etc. This you can't with a vd.

Eg. A plugin that reads an external source energy consumption. And since it is stated as a sensor, the sensor will show in the energy panel.

Or an plugin as a light switch, controlling external source but would show up as type "light".

This creates a lot of freedom and opens up the system for a lot of creativity.

But my own opinion are not that I will sell my hc2 over this,

More that since Fibaro don't do much development them self this would save there own team a lot. But not getting user plugins and still a lot of lack of overall development support would drive me to leave this too.

Not being able to set device types for 3rd party vds etc sucks! At least fix that if they cannot be arsed to fix plugins.

Kristian thank you for explanation. It would be really nice that Fibaro then bring this plugins back or what Supernode write to enable setting device types for 3rd party devices.
