How i update it, i give the hc2 access to the internet and within a couple of minutes i can update the hc2 (with a lot of errors, by the way).

Fibaro is a lying manufacturer!

I agree with the liar part

But one disadvantage of your way for updating, how do you know if data is not stored on the HC2 and eventually send when connected?

Does anyone happen to know the URL that is used by the HC2 to determine if an update is available? Just in case my firewall is blocking it for other reasons!

The firmware is downloaded from the Fibaro download server, locate at

The firmware version is located in the submap. For example for 4.090 it is located at

@Lambik, one more question. Do you happen to know the URL that is used to determine the current/latest firmware? Something that the HC2 uses to trigger that an update is available.

No I don't, sorry....  Maybe somebody else can give the answer?

EDIT: You could examine the data, when a update is available, by wireshark....

just query on /info3

since v4.056 ssl has been implemented, so when you really wish to play with DNS, do first recovery to v4.031. We use "special crafted" laptops (iis/dns, some php pages, firmware list and installers, etc.), for customers have no internet yet (unfortunately very often they "think" they have internet, but then there is only router but no link, etc.), where we have to do recovery and Fibaro integration without unnecessary costs. Sure, we do have LTE box with, but yeah, coverage is different story.

Appreciate that. It seems that I can indeed see that page from within my network, but the HC2 doesn't, or at the very least isn't showing an update as being available. Will continue to play.
