This issue is driving me mad and I am simply unable to find a defined solution.

In the door sensor instruction manual it notes that the device is "woken up" by triple clicking the TMP button on the back of the unit.  This is fine and the device was included this way whilst in my hand before attaching it to my door frame.  OK, now it is firmly attached and in place with the pad provided, and I have just made a few changes to parameters and hit the save button.  The system now says I should wake the device up, which the instructions say is done by triple tapping the TMP button on the back, which is now inaccessible without taking it off again?

I'm sure there is a reasonable solution, and I have tried pushing the TMP button under the cover, but no wake up.  If this is the solution, should the door be open or closed when doing it etc?

Is this device, once fitted, just designed for a time related wake up, or am I missing a procedure which isn't shown in the instructions relating to waking it up once the rear switch is not accessible, as quite obviously taking it off to wake it up is not going to happen.

Thanks for your help.

I seem to remember when I needed to do this, I just removed the front cover and pressed the front button 3 times. The door would have been closed at the time if that makes a difference. As with yours, the sensor is now stuck to the door so I cant easily remove the back cover.

    Ok thanks.

I have tried this but it didn't seem to make any difference?  Maybe a faulty switch as it is quite an old one, but it has now timed out to a wake up, which works but not ideal.

    Try this:

    • Open the cover of Fibaro Door/Window Sensor
    • Press and Hold down hard against the battery (using a thumb perhaps) which will result in the back TMP button being pressed
    • Use another hand with a small/tiny screw driver (or similar tool like paper clip, iOS device's sim tray eject pin) and poke the small/tiny button (on the PCB inside the sensor just below the LED) three times
