Question

Posted

As a result of my HC2 did not restart automatically after a power failure, I tried to reconfigure the HC2 with the function recovery.
I updated succesfully afterwards to software version 4.100 which I had previously used and reloaded my latest backup.

It all went according to the plan but all my uploaded pictures of my rooms and all my uploaded icons were overwritten with an error symbol.
Can it really be true that HC2 does not save your own pictures and icons on USB key?

yes, backup does save only database (contains VDs, etc), scenes and (encrypted) zwave data.

During recovery the whole partition will get purged, therefore - if oyu wish to save icons, please use before e.g. toolkit to save them.

    Hi tinman

    Thanks for info.

    I have saved all my HC2 pictures and icons in a seperate library on my mac.
    Is it nessesary to reload the images and icons manually under the individual room, units and scenes?:-(

    I've created a lot of images and icons.

    Please let me know if there is a way the HC2 automatically can reinstall the lost pictures and icons?

    If the program Toolkit (which I do not know) can solve the problem, it would be super if you could help me with instructions.:-D:-D

    @severin HC2 Toolkit is found at :

    It is a fabulous tool with a lot of ability, and is intuitive.

    But it won't restore all your icons, you have to do that manually as far as I know.

    Cheers,

    al.
