Philips Hue Plugin in v4.104

It is useful to have a plugin for Philips Hue but much of the functionality is lost because from scenes and virtual devices, the only options for actions of any use appear to be turnoff() and turnon().

 

The Hue, Saturation and Brightness sliders are not available in the actions and I assume this to be an error as "setMute" and "setVolume" are listed. Could the plugin be updated to add some control of these 3 sliders to deliver functionality of the plugin?

There is a way to control hue and saturation and brightness on HUE plugin with scenes! You can use following functions from scenes and VD to change brightness, hue and saturation:

to change brightness you can use:

Where pluginID is id of the plugin controlling one HUE bulb and brightnessVal is value from 1 to 254

To change hue you can use:

To check if HUE is turned on you can use:

Thanks for this feedback, very useful as I should now be able to programme warm white for evenings in the hallways, turning to red at night to preserve night vision.

How did you find the Hue Plugin variables(changeHue, changeBrightness etc)?

I need same kind of variables for Sony TV plugin.
