Question

Posted (edited)

Hi,

I'm a bit confused about what the humidity panel is supposed to do. I have a central extraction fan that is ducted to both bathrooms and laundry room and I plan to connect it to a Qubino Flush Dimmer (since I've been told this should work, Fibaro dimmer not confirmed to work). In each of the 3 wet rooms there will be a Aeon 6-in-1 sensor to give me a humidity reading. I've so far set up one and added it to a Humidity panel.

Now what? How do I use this panel for anything useful? In general I find the panels very unintuitive and the documentation isn't exactly illuminating.

Best regards,

Tor Magnus

Hi Tor

Did you manage to get a resolution to this - I'd be very interested to hear how you progressed, I'm looking at doing something similar where if the Humidity in the bathroom is high the ventilation fans turn on

There are some LUA scenes others have posted which looked better than what the panel has to offer.

You have to remember with humidity its a percentage change over time thing where the scene looks for quick rises and falls to turn the fan on and off.

    Hi Pwadan,

I never used the humidity panel, instead created my own lua scene that enables the fan at different speeds depending on thresholds. I'm using different rising and sinking thresholds to avoid the fan switching on and off too often. Heading into summer I'm also seeing that ambient humidity threshold also changes so I'll probably have to set up another sensor outside the wet-rooms to use as a baseline for thresholds.

would you be willing to share the scenes you mention? i'm looking to do exactly this as well with my central ventilator and aeotec humidity sensors.

i also use my ventilator for cooling in summer. so if you've seen any code for that, i would be very appreciative.
