Dimmer hardly dimms lights

Question

Posted

Hello All,

I have had my fibaro dimmer installed by and electrician and replaced the globes with dimmable leds (e27 type).  I have also forced an auto config as I had changed the globes over.

When i dim the lights i only see change if I the slider is between approximately 100 and 40 and even if I go as low as 1 it is approxomately 20% less bright than 100%.  Is there anyway to adjust this as I would like to make them very low during the night.

Thanks in advance.

Mobbie

Some LEDs dont dim that well. Try changing min dim parameter down a bit.

They usally wont dim as low as incandescent or halogen. Youll know when you have adjusted to far cause some

wont come on while dimmed.

thanks Jamie, the low value is set to 1% and at the lowest they are still relatively bright.

I have installed lots of different brands some dim really well some are hopeless. On mine at home the origional non Fibaro dimmers did work better, i find the dimmer 2 a bit stepped too when auto dimming.

@Jamie mccrostie thanks again.  Its a pity as having my hallway lights this bright (even at 1%) when the kids are asleep isnt great.  I will try different bulbs (or halos instead of leads) and see what I can get sorted.

    Thanks for the advise too.
