Good Morning Scene - Sharing Ideas/generating discussion

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Changing this post a little to generate some discussion around good morning sequences and what people are currently or planning to do. I'm hoping to get some ideas myself and may also help some people just starting this journey..

I'll start - This is my good morning sequence and it's triggered on weekdays at 6:40 and 8:00 on weekends by a scheduler derived from  @Sankotronic Main Scene code. Music control is with the sonos-htt-api and TTS is AWS Polly. I have some sleep steps that I removed to allow some actions to finish before others start or just to provide seperation.

  1. Group 4 music zones upstairs using sonos api presets, select zones, radio station and play at zero vol
  2. Change radio station if station not available
  3. Set home mode (This may be redundant)
  4. Set sleepstate to Awake mode
  5. Switch ON Satelite Box
  6. Raise vol in master bedroom slowly to preset level
  7. Raise music vol in landing room slowly to preset level
  8. Raise music vol in kids1 room room slowly to preset level
  9. Raise music vol in kids2 room room slowly to preset level
  10. Set alarm to UNSET
  11. TTS Morning Greeting (weather, temp etc) - Master Bedroom
  12. Switch main bathroom mirror light on for kids
  13. TTS Morning Greeting (weather, etc)- kids1 room
  14. TTS Morning Greeting (weather, etc)- kids2 room
  15. Wait for motion trigger in kitchen and switch on kitchen spotlights
  16. Slowly raise the other lights to preset levels
  17. Slowly raise the kitchen, hall and playroom music to preset levels

What else are other people doing ?

Thanks

-f

Nothing fancy, but I also have the system turn on some services (appliances) that were turned off during sleep/night time to save power,  for safety, and to make sure the kids (teenagers) didn´t find to much to do during night time. This actually has to go hand in hand with my router -and should preferably have been one setup and not two e.g. HC2 for power and router for internet.

    Hi @AutoFrank,

My good morning scene is doing following action:

    1) Turn on music at very low volume in living room and bedrooms and then raise volume to predefined value.

    2) Turn on lights in our bedrooms, hallway and kitchen at very low level and then gradually rise brightness to predefined level.

    3) Starts coffee machine

    4) turns on some appliances that where turned off during night

    5) disarms partially armed burglar alarm

    6) TTS greeting with weather status and other info, like status of coffee machine etc. in our bedroom

    7) Setting SleepState to Awake

    8) Raising blinds if set to be raised at wakeup time instead at sunrise.

    9) Turning on Christmas (holiday) lights during holiday times.

To start, let me thank @Sankotronic, @jompa68, yourself @AutoFrank and all the others who develope something ,share it and give support.

This is a part of our wakeup scene:

Please login or register to see this code.

186 is the motion sensor in the kitchen. The RunoncemorningTTS var is set to "0" when we put the house in sleepstate.

the 419 is the preset TTS vd and button 6 is our goodmorning speach

This is made to run when on the first motion of the day is detected in the kitchen.

the other parts of the wakeup are just lights being turned on in the bedrooms using Jompa's ACWUT.

Hope this threat picks up I'm always looking for inspiration!!

    Jim
