    If you can't code then you would probably think this is great until it gets too complicated with hundreds of little hidden scenes. Then the user will need to learn LUA or if you are lucky just call a professional installer who can unravel it all.

    Exactly :-D user will need to learn LUA. I am installer, but imagine, I have old lady with Fibaro, she is using it only for heating. So you are saying she should learn to code? Or I should code it for her and go there every time when she wants to change temperature? :-D

    @HomeSystem.sk

    You old mercenary ;-)

    I am sure you did not intend it to come across like that and I am sure she would always get good value from your top notch service.

    I just hope that future HC2 has a balance of advanced configuration and mickey mouse stuff for the non technical.

    If it all goes mickey mouse I can get that sort of rubbish from Apple. Homekit I ask you what is that about. Looks like $$$$$$$ for nothing. It will get home automation a bad even worse name.

    as installer you can setup everything in-front (e.g. keyfob starting / stopping scenes to change temp and mode, taking values from real device or variable set by virtual device), the "old lady" need only use app to change temperature on real or virtual thermostate and next time she click on keyfob the new temp / mode / whatever will be used.

    This is the benefit of HC2, you can prepare things, can change them easily (as installer) to match different requirements / environment. For customers who have no idea how to use LUA, one can easily build some extra block scenes where they can change parameters of LUA scenes. This is some extra work, but as installer, you will get paid for that. For customers without any knowledge is of course bit harder, but not impossible, to use brain, google, and forums to get things sorted out.
