Dimmer turns on/off by itself

Question

Posted

Hi,

I have a weird problem. One of my dimmers(Fibaro dimmer 2) frequently turns off by itself. After a couple of minutes it turns on again. If manually switch it off, it doesn't turn on by itself.

Either the dimmer is broken or the homecenter is doing the magic, but how can i find out which? Is there any logfile I can check to see whats going on? How can I check if the dimmer is working properly?

/R

Have had the same problem several times, and the only thing that have helped is to shut the power off to all the devices.

It´s like there is an active command coming from another device to turn it on, like some kind of an active alarm.

@TurboWannaBe I agree.

I'm pretty sure an RGBW module set to "IN" can cause this (I have one). There have been a few reports, all "pointing in that direction". But unfortunately, I don't know of any tool or log that can help you. You can ask support, but I guess this kind of problem might be between two devices, so there wouldn't be any log on you HC :-(
