Last week I finally included my second Fibaro swipe and installed it on place. Inclusion went without any problems with battery supply near HC2. After inclusion I noticed that it is beeping (tree beeps) every 2 minutes or so. It was connected to same power supply Apple 10W as I have another one that works just fine.

Anyway I tried with only battery supply still the same. I changed wakeup interval but still continue to beep every 2 minutes with notification that it wake up with transfer Ok. Then I remove it and include it again but now with same Apple USB power supply and still have it beeping every two minutes. I try to soft reconfigure but nothing changed.

So, is there anything else that I can do something to make it stop beeping, or only solution is to exclude it and throw in trash bin?

I've had this once and a reset fixed it (so, normal exclusion, after that enter menu and confirm after three beeps, power off, power on).

    Thank you @petergebruers,

I will try as you suggested.

    Hi Sankotronic,

Mine installed perfectly but results were so random that I took it out and sold it at half the price just to get rid of it.  Besides, I find that we use Voice Control far more now that the traditional human interface devices.  Sort of makes BUTTONS, SWIPE etc practically obsolete for us

    Hi @lennypenny,

Unfortunately for Croatia there is no voice recognition of any kind so I'm stuck with traditional interface devices.

If you are willing to get an Android tablet you can get things to work using Tasker and, autovoice

Please login or register to see this link.

Autovoice can use Croatian (HR-hr) as an input language.

I have done as suggested and still same problem. I think that this one is faulty out from the box. Will try one more time and then it goes to trash bin. :-(

One last thing. Have you tried without the back, so USB directly connected to module? This bypasses the circuit that switches between batteries and USB power.

Since back is screwed on furniture, I tried two times with USB power supply connected directly to the module. I just forget to mention in my previous post, I try to reset it using B button on the back of the module but it doesn't invoke anything?! Also, that plastic cover on the back of the module I found unglued from the plate when I took it out from the back. Is it possible that is damaged? I have picture but unfortunately my attachment quota is full :-(

I've checked, holding the B-button for a few seconds enters the menu, just like holding your hand in front of the device does. I've tested that with the front plate on a box, so it doesn't detect any stray capacitance (fields). I have tried to remove that rectangular box, with the round base, that seems to be glued or welded to the base plate, but it didn't come of. I also gently hit it with a screwdriver and it didn't come off. You probably already tried setting "Parameter 6 Power saving mode (battery mode)" to 1 and 2 (but not 0)? Also please note that by default it can take 4 minutes to switch from battery to USB mode (see parameter 5). Good luck!

In that case my swipe is definitely faulty since B-button does nothing. Well, it is not the first Fibaro device that I get from Vesternet or other vendors in faulty condition. There is also one wall plug, one motion sensor and two door/window sensors that never worked ok.

Even it is on USB power supply and has same settings as the other one it still insists to be first wakeup before swipe is reckognized.  That other swipe is workig perfectly and does not need to be wakeup to accept swipe.

How odd. And annoying. Sounds like the unit has suffered some damage to the PCB or to the components, it's definitely not acting like mine... Thanks for reporting back!

Yes, it is odd and annoying since I already make hole in my furniture to install it and then at the end it is faulty device. I think I will try with Remotec ZRC-90 to cover that hole I drill for USB cable. No more swipes for me.

BTW have you talked to Fibaro support? Just asking because I know this product is relatively young and I bet they're interested in learning from damaged devices, to improve it. Even when the damage is the result of, say, transport, they sometimes want to see it and know how they can make it better. I would send them a mail, you might get a replacement regardless of how it was used and if it's still under warranty or not.

    Thanks @petergebruers,

I can do that, write to them, even send it for Fibaro to check it. Swipe was laying it its box for several months form the day of purchase, until I finally decided where to install it. First inclusion went well, with USB power near HC. Then I put it on place and noticed this constant beeping and also that it doesn't accept first swipe like the other one we have in our bedroom. That one installed in our bedroom works really nice!
