Somfy Blinds & Fibaro - Which Option ?

Question

Posted (edited)

I've been looking at controlling my wireless comfy blinds by fibaro and I see there is no direct option. Reading the various posts there seem to be two main options:

1. Buy and integrate a Homewizard Hub

2. Buy a Raspberry Pi and RFXCOM RFXtrx433E

What experience do members have and whats the pluses and minuses of the two options. Or is there a better option.

My blinds are battery not mains so a fibre blind control is not an option

Any guidance much appreciated.

Hi @Sirhideo

good to hear the screens are working with Domoticz and that you can control with HC2 with a string command.

I noticed one small error in the VD. You have added the IP address and port number in the LUA code, but in the General tab of the VD, also the IP address and the port number should be given.

Hope this solves the issue, if not, let me know and I have another look at it.

Hi @Wimjanse, for some reason I re-write the lua statement manually instead of copying from your manual it works!  Always thank you for your great help!
