sendPush notifications still not works

Is this true? If so, can this be fixed please? I have been working on a LUA scene which uses sendPush, but it doesn't work. I just assumed I did something wrong in my script.

Hi @10der and @Timbo,

 

My HC2 is on 4.130 and I have latest version of app installed on iPad and iPhone and function sendPush is working fine from both VD and scenes. Please check your code and that you are sending to mobile device ID and not user ID. You can check ID for your devices with this line in browser (just replace YOUR_HC_IP with IP address of your home center):

Thanks @Sankotronic yes i was using the correct iOS IDs, and debug statements in the script showed the push was being sent to the correct devices, but the devices never received the messages.

 

Anyway, I deleted/re-installed the iOS apps, rebooted the HC2, cleared browser settings and restarted. It then started to work - sort of. Some messages would get to both iOS devices, some to only one, some to none. And the delay was very slow, up to one minute for the message to reach the devices.

 

Today I tried again, and it's all working perfectly! I have no idea what happened, as nothing has changed.

Are you sure that nothing changed? There is one thing that we don't check regularly and that is our internet connection and hops between our HA gateway and our mobile devices. For not receiving notifications we can't blame only our gateways because there are more things that can go wrong on their way!

I really don't know. We spent last night watching TV via internet, and there were no problems. Good speed on internet connection, and WiFi working fine. But sendPush was not working properly. Today, internet and wifi speed is the same, but sendPush works perfectly.

Well as I already wrote, it is not only up to your connection to the internet, but also up to the route on internet and servers (hops) that process messages. I can confirm that my notifications push, popup or e-mail never failed or had delay on last three stable updates 4.110, 4120 and 4.130.
