yes it is possible.

Please login or register to see this link.

here is the video by on the forum users @morpheus75 created that i used to help set up my ha-bridge. his video goes through the whole setup process and the commands to use.  i recommend using the version of ha bridge he uses, as the http commands have changed enough that its quite difficult to find the correct commands.

1.  after you have setup your ha-bridge, you need to install the very first apk verison of google home on your android device, as HUE as changed how the hub is discovered on your network.

2. once you have the emulated hub paired with google home, you then need to pair your physcal HUE to the emulated HUE.  this is done in the https home page of the emulated HUE. like this diagram below.

all the users that are currently using this with their HC2 like myself and a few others would be happy to help you along the process

First we use static IP address to HC2, this makes it possible to integrate it with IFTTT because there is no official integration yet.

In IFTTT you need to make new applet.

Now choose trigger "Google Home" and for an example next step say a phrase with a number.

My example is for the roller open/close command:

User - HC2 username.  We made another username, example: googlehome

Password - Password for this user

URL: There we use static IP address of HC2 with port forwarded to this HC2 internal IP.

44 - this is Device ID. Roller shutter in our example.

Now when you say: Okay google, set the blinds to 50".  Then google home sends HC2 command to set device ID 44 value to 50%.

You can do same for other devices.

It is not perfect but you can control your lights, start scenes, etc with google home commands.

thanks @Lauri! i appreciate the write up! i did read Fibaro is coming out with their own IFTTT channel soon and integration with Google Home, but of course, things at Fibaro always roll out at a snails pace or not..

The native fibaro Alex a skill is quite limited. You CAN'T (edit) trigger scenes or virtual devices. Security reasons were cited as the reason for the limitation. HA bridge doesn't have this limitation.

I'm not sure if the Google home integration will have the same limitation ad the Alexa skill ....

I keep reading in the Forum that google home isnt working anymore with the Ha bridge.  i just dont know how that could be, being its used on a local connection that "simulates" the HUE.. does anyone have have firsthand knowledge if this is in-fact no longer working?? i have my Ha bridge on my raspberry pi down while were remodeling and now im kinda scared.  I had it dialed in perfect with my google home too...

What I wanted to try was HA Bridge on my Synology NAS, but I believe you have to use port 80 for Google Home to work, and since port 80 is used already by web station on the Synology I have no clue how to make it work. It is also displayed here that it 'might' not work anymore: ISSUE: Google Home now seems to not support local connection to Philips Hue Hubs and requires that it connect to meethue.com. Since the ha-bridge only emulates the local API, and is not associated with Philips, this method will not work. If you have an older Google Home application, this may still work. YMMV.

I have read that others have successfully installed the Ha bridge on their Synology. You just have to use the first APK release version. As this specific version, was released prior to Google changing how the hue is connected to the Google home

This version was synced via a local connection

you also have the option to setup a virtual machine on your computer and run android inside it, then install the apk.

I just re-installed my raspberry pi with ha-bridge and it works without issues with my Google Home.

I used this option today to set up google home integration for a customer so I can confirm it works.

@Robert Folbigg and @dhanjel thanks for the update on the ha bridge!!  I was starting to get really worried Google had somehow figured out how to disable this... Its just too bad that to make "actions" on API.api for the Google Assistant, is a bit too advanced for the average user. It would really make it such a more powerful tool for the average user to take full advantage of the potential capabilities of Google Assistant..

Did you do anything specific (apart from setting it up on port 80 for google home i guess?) to make it work? :)

Also i still need to figure out how to get it to work a Synology on Port 80....
