Looks nice!

Dear Fibaro, I'm getting the keys to my new home in 2 months, will they be available by then? (House will be a complete rebuild project so I'm free to do what I want).

Also if you could send over 12 to test I'd be doing you a favour ;) Just kidding. Will be keeping my eye on this!

P.s. will there also be an opentherm module for the CV kettel?

Looks very nice!

I'm going to build central heating this autum/winter so I hope they will be available already so i don't have to buy POPP or similar :-)

It is good that I decided to do heating last :-)

Is that Z-Wave or HomeKit? It would be nice to have a successor/replacement of the LC12/LC13. I still have 4 LC12 and I'd replace them if the successor/replacement would support Z-Wave and possibly FLiRS which would give near-instant remote control.

amazing device, there will be no room anymore for that Danfoss LC13-reloaded thing (unless someone really need to have display, but then that new eurotronic will be still better choice than Danfoss)

@tinman,

as far as i'm aware danfoss is not giving feedback to HC asPopp will do, so i hope that fibaro, will give the measurements back to HC....

I thought the Devolo thermostat (= Danfoss)  gives feedback with their firmware.

Great design by Fibaro and it has external temperature sensor, which is great. But I would like to see temperature on device, not some RGB light.

I don't like POPP because of that measured temperature (feedback). Yes, it is nice to have all in one. But  I in some use-cases it is not desired.

Near radiator it is hotter then on other side of room. That is why I still recommend to dealers and end customer to have temperature sensor on other side of room (motion sensor mostly) and Danfoss, because in no feedback.

And those who knows where templates are in HC, then you see it has template since 4.135 beta.

And for new Danfoss we will have to wait till next year for Z-Wave version according to my last info.

@jakub.jezek I agree it looks very good on paper. External sensor is a feature I'd like to have. I have modified one of my LC12, I added 50 cm wire to the sensor, it really works here (mainly because my windows above the TRV are old). I had to think harder about two features, but now I have done that, I think they are OK:

  • The rechargeable cell: maybe a little, nuisance having to recharge them. On average 1 x per year but I would have 12 valves. That is 1 valve per month. On the other hand, plain batteries (like used on all existing TRV now) are even more wasteful and The Danfoss only works with NiZn and that is not my favourite chemistry. One possible advantage: the cell will be matched to the device, so it will always perform well. No leaked batteries either. A rechargeable cell will degrade over time. But I think with current battery technology, it may last 10 years.
  • No numerical display. I thought it is disadvantage, but I am not sure. Maybe an LED is better. I think LCD is not always ideal. I have a few LCxx that are sideways, I cannot see the display. Also the viewing angle is not ideal. When you want to increase the temperature, nudge the device and watch the colour of the LED change. That might actually be very nice.

Yeah, we can agree on that. My boss told me that he will probably use powerbank to charge it (joke). It has Micro USB if i'm not mistaken. ForLC-13, that we sell we recommend to use lithium batteries. They hold pretty long.

Well, it can be advantage or disadvantage. In corners, where you cannot see valve from the front, then LED is better. But if you have access from front then i personally would like to see 2 digits there, similar to Heatit (picture below). And i know that Heatit has 3 digits and decimal mark. But if i see 2 digits there i'm happy. But it is my personal opinion. Maybe the LED will work there better than LED, but i wait till beta tests will starts.

Seems like great powebank to do its job. You can power up 3 Fibaro radiator thermostats at once ;D.

And you charge your Powerbank at your job = free electricity

Naughty! You meant to say: "then you charge the powerbank with a solar panel"? ;-)

BTW, more radiator valves are comming this year, one of which is FLiRS :) For the heating I feel this year will be good. Z-WAve manufacturer probably realised that Heating is something everyone has to deal with, right.
