Presence detection

Question

Posted

Hi, is there any way I can use this devices in a scene to trigger a task?, (to lock the door)

I have looked at using the fibaro app, presence GPS function with a variabel count going down to zero, but cant make it work.

Then I saw this list, if a could make a scene with devices missin, then lock, would be great :-)

It is an DAnalock V3 with BT as well, so it will open by BT presece, but not look when away.

particular error cases on iPhone - enable geolocation with option [always]. otherwise, it doesn't work at all.

as above you may enable periodical polling in FIBARO App

about Android - idk, sorry

Question is if the devices, that is in the list can be used for anyting in a script or scene?

Agreed the geo fence or iphone localization is not working as described.

@10der I'm guessing your currently using this Lua script? My I ask where you found it at? I'm interested in adding this on my system.

I was using Tasker to activate a rule that would run when one of the devices connected to a specific cell tower close to my house, but it wasn't very accurate. Our phones wouldn't always connect to the closest tower, that ended up causing more headaches...

sorry, but it escapes my memory :)

I usually go to http://192.168.1.36/docs/ where 192.168.1.36 - IP of FIBARO HC and close investigate examples. after I'm writing code (yes, I am a developer and it's easy for me).

UPD: this is a local trusty endpoint for FIBARO API.

@10der no worries. I am searching a VD I can use that is a little more reliable using the MAC ID's of devices or a location based VD to active scenes..

    @matt1981

JFY:  this method makes ARP net request and grabs all devices in the local network. so if your phone on deep sleep new (it's mean what wifi is off) - you never catch your device in the list.

it' s a dead giveaway. I put all this away a long time ago.

as said recently @Sankotronic: easy way from here - press button/key and start scenes...

The only con - if you driving a car and want what FIBARO turn on home side lights when you near home... it's impossible or possible only via GPS location which works not properly as for me.
