Question

I just saw the new Eurotronic Spirit. What do you think about it guys? Can someone compare it with the Danfoss LC13 or POPP thermostat? I have read all the reviews and it sound much better then all radiator thermostats so far, even the one from fibaro, becuase as far as i have read it does not support FLIRS mode (well it has a rechargeable battery, which is cool). The Eurotronic Spirit is huge in comparison with the LC13 and POPP thermostat, but the FLIRS and the up facing display is a huge +. Not sure about the battery life though.... Anyone?

Hello!

I bought one this week. I am very sad at the moment.
The problem is this: device without template.
I send the xml file. The spirit doesn't send the temperature for HCL. The heat panel is working, but the HCL doesn't know how much is the temperature in the room.
When I am clicking "reading configuration" : the spirit send the parameter of temperature, but doesn't send anymore.
Thank you for your helping!

I got the exact same behaviour regarding the temperature reporting issue.

After changing the Parameter 5 (Measured Temperature report) from value 5 (default, 0,5° C) to value 1 (0,1° C) the temperature reporting is working.

Probably the battery consumption will be higher.

Hello,

I bought one, it works well with HC2 ("Add in security mode if device supports it."), I can set the Temperature by a LUA scene, that's all I want.

(I'm waiting for informations about the use of an external temperature sensor.)

I got it working with HC2. Like thomas0105, I fixed the temperature reporting issue. It seems to work nicely and react well to changes in the temperature setpoint. I can change settings from scenes, but there is an issue with managing it from the Heating Panel. When the temperature in the Heating Panel is changed, the correct setpoint temperature is sent to the thermostat, but the mode is changed from "Energy save heating" to "Heating", meaning that the target temperature now is a "comfortable level" which is very high, and the temperature setpoint is ignored. This may be an error in the template for the device (see the attached file). Does anybody know how to read/modify/upload this template or how to report an issue like this to Fibaro support?

Like muc, I could not figure out how to use an external sensor. According to the manual, setting parameter 8 to 0x80 should define use of an external temperature sensor, but how to define the external sensor is not defined. Any suggestions?
