Yes that can be done using http requests in the doorbird ui.

With those requests you can trigger a scene on the hc2 via the  hc2 api which in turn can open the lock.

So:

-set up a new user on the hc2 for security reasons (as the password will be in plain text in the http requests)

- set up new scenes to open the lock

- give that user access to those scenes

- insert the api http request for these scenes for that user into the doorbird

that should do it.

Hope this helps.

Is it in some way possible to see in HC2 if the relay has been triggered.

In DoorBird administration, you need to create something called HTTP Call. Then go to relays (nearly at the bottom of administration) -> Schedule and choose HTTP Call and in the top right corner click to activate schedule. That should send command to Fibaro to operate scene.

My bad. DoorBird sending GET instead of POST. In my Fibaro API understanding you need POST instead of GET to run scene, but maybe i'm mistaken.

Jakub, I managed to set this up in several installations. Works just fine. This video describes how to do it. In German.

Hope this helps.

Cool. I have suspected this command could work, but i thought it is for POST not GET. I'm gladly stand corrected :-)

Hi,

Is it possible to use face recognition to start fibaro scene?

@747, that is interesting, but it seems that feature is not here yet. I've checked all settings in showroom doorbird we have and i do not see it there.

@jakub.jezek, thanks for checking.

After searching for more info regarding this,  I found that they announced that this feature was coming in 2016..

I will send a mail to them, asking when this feature will be released.

My goal is to use facial recognition for all family members to automatically open the front door if its locked.

Seems there is no more information regarding when face recognition feature will be released..

Thank you for your message.

We are sorry but actually we don't have any further information when this feature will be released. Actually we only know that it's still on the roadmap

For those who have a working doorbird setup, would you please comment on the video and 2-way audio quality from within the fibaro app? I am skeptical about video since fibaro only supports mjpeg and from my experience with my monitoring cameras  is that I rarely see the video stream, and if I do it is too choppy.

thanks

There is no way of getting audio to Fibaro app. Use original DoorBird app for audio communication. Integration with DoorBird serves for automation purposes, not for 2-way audio communication.
