Is it possible to connect the fibaro dimmer to the ceiling fan, whenever I m connecting to it doesn't turn on and the notification showing CAUTION electric surge detected

Need help with this

    This notification hints at it being improperly connected. We'll need more details. What kind of a fan is it etc?

    Okay, and are you sure everything is connected properly? I mean the wiring, as this notification hints at issues in this area.
