Large Screen Control Console

Question

Posted

Hi Team,

I have been thinking for a very long time for creating a large touch screen control center that would be wall-mounted and allow me to control all devices from the screen and let the kids turn lights on and of where needed as they cannot reach the switches yet. I want to be able to see the temperature, lights, set temperature and so on.

I currently own a Home Center Lite.

I was thinking of using widgets on a large, 12"+ Android tablet, use tasker to create shortcuts to actions on Android, or using the Home Center web interface.

Has anyone done anything similar and can advise how to approach this?

TIA,

Szadzik

Oh iam surprised, this has a modern look, Looks Pro already! :)

Is it possible to use VD's while customizing? That's one of the things I miss in the Fibaro Tablet interface.

I do not see my VDs on the list, but the app has an HTTP request as an option, so you can create a call to the device.

Yes, you need to create an account. There is no syncing of data to the cloud, as per their terms and conditions.

Added a tile on the main screen to lead to a media screen with links to open Youtube playlists, HBO GO and VLC with access to music on a NAS, and not it's not just home automation, but also media control center. Really loving this idea and ImperiHome. The only downside is that battery operated thermostats that refresh only every 15 minutes in the control center do not work well, but I've set them up as Fibaro for Tablet widgets on my main screen and that's just as nice, taking into account in winter they basically run on a schedule.

    An update:

After updating to the latest firmware on my HCL and application update I am now able to use thermostats in ImperiHome

Has anyone been working on a console for their use and found anything other than ImperiHome?

Yeah, this is more likely a solution for businesses, not homes.
