Mirror switch 2 commands to Dimmer 2

anders.malmgren

Question

Hi. I have a Switch 2 thats not connected to any load. I want to use it as a remote and control a Dimmer 2 (I cant understand why fibero does not have a binary Switch without relay). I have sort of gotten it to work but not 100%.

I have set group 2 (S1 on / off) and 3 (S1 dimmer) on the switch and associated it with the Dimmer 2. I have also change Parameter 20   to 0 (momentary switch).

I can turn on and off the Dimmer this way, if I double click the dimmer goes to 100%. I can also dim up by holding the button. But when I relase and hold again it does not dim down, instead it dims up.

I guess I need to change some other paramters in the Switch 2 but I do not know which ones.

I'm on a Vera plus controller btw.

edit: One thing, the dimmer 2 device options are empty. While the Switch 2 has all its parameters visible, is this correct?

  • Hmm, it seems group 3 is enough to control the dimmer so I have removed group 2 and now only use group 3 but no change, I still can't dim down by holding the button only dim up.

    Any tips?
