Help with LUA scene

Question

Posted

I have a setup with two HC2. Unfortunately my master HC2 freezes sometimes which causes problems with our heating, alarms etc, especially when we are not home to see this. When we are away we cannot do the button restart which is required to get it up n running again. I will continue to work on that problem with Fibaro suport but have put sooo many hours on it without any success so must try another approach paralelly.

Since we have two HC2 I thought that they could watch over each other and restart the other, via a Fibaro wall plug, if its non responsive.

Any ideas on how they surveillance could be done? My ideas is to set up a scene with a query sent every 3 minutes and if there is no answer it asks the wall plug to turn off, wait a minute and then turn on again (alos send a notification about the restart). But I cant code :(

This will also help me to get closer to the main problem with freezing

@sir_horn, yes you can. I did the same between HC2 and HCL and the opposite way. I don't restart HC in the scenes because I have other ways to do this.
The scene below is lua and running on HC2. The screenshots are scenes running on HCL. I hope you can manage to understand how it works.
Also be aware I'm not a professional coder, so lua scene is still work in progress.

In the lua scene, you'll find the string '<Base64 username, password string>
This string need to be replaced by an encoded username:password.

No thanks. If really stuck, don't hesitate to ask. However my time I can spend is limited, I'll do my best.
