Z Wave into wired home security system

olvansta

Question

Just Purchased Vera plus controller along with Fibaro Universal Binary Sensor and Roller shutter switches to upgrade my home automation

I would like to replace old X10 roller shutter switches with Fibaro switches.

I have a stand alone wired security system that has dry contact NO/COM/NC aux outputs that are switched upon arming and disarming the system.

I want to give Z wave functionality to it by using the Fibaro Binary sensor connected to these outputs.

The idea is to trigger a scene (closing / opening 5 shutters) when I arm or disarm the security panel

To date I have paired the UBS with Vera Plus Hub and wired IN1 on the UBS to the NO contact in the alarm panel.

Now I am not sure above the UBS configuration to achieve my goal so am looking for as much help as I can get.

At this point I haven't installed the shutter switches or created scenes

How can i tell if the UBS is functioning?

Thanks for your help

Graham Vanstan
