Hi,
Firstly, let me explain my background. I have been working in the IT industry for years. I can work my way through troubleshooting different protocols on various connected devices without too much effort. I live in South Africa and recently started looking into Smart Home Automation installation as a business. I purchased the HCL, Motion Sensor and Double Switch 2 from a local Fibaro re-seller. All the kit arrived without a hitch.
Upon setting up the HCL, it worked and I got it up and running without too much hassle, but as soon as I kicked off recovery mode (to wipe and start over), I could only login via the HCL device ip with the default 'admin' credentials. When I start the configuration wizard it asks me to add user. when I put in my FIBARO ID, it says, it already exists?!
The reason I chose Fibaro to use as my preferred Smart Home brand for my new installation business is the hardware seemed incredible, The software is a massive let down. Before I went into recovery mode, I tried to setup the new Android 'Home Center' app. when I eventually got it to work and connect to my HCL, every screen on the app was blank?! Hence trying HCL hardware recovery mode. Now I cannot even use my Fibaro ID anymore to login to the HCL via IP and stuck having to use the default local access admin credentials.
TBH, if I cannot get this working seamlessly in the next few days, I will be returning all Fibaro kit and going to opt for using only Samsung Smartthings kit for all client installs.
I will be sending Fibaro support the same above message.
