Hikvision and HC2 - Why Why Why?

After having my HC2 since 2015/6 ish.. Why in 2019, is there still no easy support for Hikvision cameras? They are one of the world leading...

 

The "plugin" does absolutely nothing

 

Has anyone got their DS-2CD2385FWD-I camera working?

 

So many issues... This should be easy!

RTSP / H.264 support could be nice for starters (H.265 is probably too much to ask), it's kinda 21 century already.

On the bright side, we have horizontal scrolling app. </sarcasm>

JPG URL: ISAPI/Streaming/channels/101/picture

MJPG STREAM URL: ISAPI/Streaming/channels/102/httppreview

I have the same Hikvision camera and have it working, the only thing that doesn't work for me is the send photo to user. I tried multiple things but I don't receive the mail, but all the other mails my HC2 sends I receive them without any issues

 

I have used this Youtube video to get it working, thanks to Yorkshire Automation ( @morpheus75)

Is there anyway you can do this with analog cameras?

I have 3 HikVision camera's and they are all working but I had to make sure that the web verification is set to: basic (or digest/basic). digest alone will NOT work.
