[Dimmer 2] dimmable & non-dimmable using double lightswitch in a single housing

Pjoeloe

Question

In our bathroom we have 2 lightsources; 1 in the ceiling and 1 above the mirror. Both are connected to a double serial lightswitch within 1 housing. I'd like to be able to dimm the lightsource in the ceiling, and leave the one above the mirror as is. In order to do that I replaced the current lightswitch with a Jung 535U and removed the spring in the right switch leveler (for the non-dimmable lightsource abave the mirror). And hooked it all up according to the following schema:

The dimmable light works fine, but the non-dimmable light is acting quite strange..

I also found some schamatics that provide 2 solutions for the exacht same issue, but I'm not sure if it will work.cu8zgy61t1yt.jpg.2b8631543c4926b20e1b459d0109fb60.jpg

@Pjoeloe, check wiring below. You need to switch L to get that non-dimmable light controled, otherwise it will not work. So you need Toggle switch with 2x IN and 2x out.

Or the Option 1 in 2nd image you posted could be correct one.

  • Hi @jakub.jezek I tested option B which needed an extra N wire. This worked out fine. So I just managed to get the extra N wire into the PVC duct, connected everything and it's working like a charm!

So option B did the job!

    Glad it works.
