HC2 lost remote access after a week or two

Hello!

 

I have a problem that has been for a while.
My HC2 lost remote access after a week or two, only solution is to switch the unit off then on.
This is not possible when you are away…
I have tried to restart the switch that the HC2 is connected to, that did not help, the problem is with the HC2.
I have heard about other that have installed an remote switch that power cycle the HC2 when such problem arises. This is not the solution for me, I can’t accept a solution like that since the Fibaro HC2 should work well without!

This is become very annoying; I can’t trust the system anymore.
I have removed all the z-wave security components like door locks, only the non-vital components are left. If the problem is not fixed soon with a new FW, I have to replace the HC2 with another system.
Anyone with the same problem?
Any solutions?

 

 

Edit:
I have been informed from folks at home that the 
automation does not work either.
So it seems that the HC2 just locked in some way, I have as informed, power cycle it in order to get it work again.

 

Edit2:
I have now concluded that this is more like a freeze of the system, as other have reported with version 4.540.
If it is not resolved with the next update, there will be an used HC2 for sale on eBay…

After I update my HC2 with version 4.540 (20-04-2019), my HC2 freeze several times, It is happend now 4 times

Then I see four bleu leds on the front of the HC2.

 

The device is not accesible by the APP en by my laptop.

 

I can ping it. but thats all.

 

After I reset via the button everything is oke, And I see three leds at the front.

This is almost the same error I have. The HC2 works fine with the Z-Wave network, but nothing else. Everything that goes out via IFTTT or the fibaro App, or the Fibaro web solution don't work! This system is so unstable! Glad I am not the only one having problems with it. Hopefully they will invest some time in fixing their stability issues

Hi.

I´m having the exact same problem as you.

My hc2 freezes aprox 2 times a week.

 

I had this issue before i´ve upgraded to 4.550 but it´s still the same after upgrade.

 

It´s the same error everytime and it is HCserver that crashes.

Same problem ... my HC2  (4.550 ) freezes every 2-3 days,  the only cure is restart...

The same thing has happened to me. The only solution I found was to create a scene with a lua script that restarts the hc2 everyday at a certain hour and the scene runs in the background.

@iTibor, when the box hangs, can you check if it is the hcserver in your case too ?

I found in Fibaro forum  a reboot VD for HC2 and I made a small scene and I run it in every 2 or 3 days

I dont know if its a coincidence but i restarted my hc2 a week ago and removed my netatmo plugin.

 

Its still working :)

 

Do you have the netatmo wheater plugin ? The plugin not the VD scene...

It is really frustrating.

At least once a week, the device lies down on its side. I've been watching this for several versions now. Even a complete reinstallation brings no improvement.
There are no plugins installed in my environment. I have the impression that the error occurs shortly after adding new components to the ZWave network.
I'm curious when the annoying error is corrected. A scene-triggered reboot is not a solution.
Please fix as soon as possible.

same here..

been suffering this for the last 2 months.. it can haooenevwry 2-3 days and some times can be after a week. so annoying!!! I am using motion sensors and alarm every night.. so when it get stuck I cannot disable the alarm and a after a power cycle alarm will be triggered.. not nice...

I have support connected to my device every few days but nothing..

they asked me to run this :

http://HC-IP/api/service/logsDump.

I got a corrupted log file every time..

I tried this after pwer cycle (when all is working fine ) but still file is corrupted!!.

waiting for an answer...:(

I´ve made a ticket and will send log files next time my hc freezes..

But mine is also corrupted....

HC2  firmware 4550,

 

I had upgrade my HC2 with the latest firmware 4550, but I still had issue's after a while that the HC2 was freezing.

After support from Fibaro, that saw in the Dumplog (http://ip-addres-hc2/api/service/logsDump) , that one device was generation an awfull loads of reports, this was a Fibaro 2500W Wall Outlet.

 

At this moment I removed this device from the HC2, now I'am Observing if the situation will be stable.

It this repeated reboot thing worked for a while, lately I restared daily,  but it seem like doesn't help anymore because I lost my access to HC and I get the old error >
