HC2 lost remote access after a week or two

Hello!

 

I have a problem that has been for a while.
My HC2 lost remote access after a week or two, only solution is to switch the unit off then on.
This is not possible when you are away…
I have tried to restart the switch that the HC2 is connected to, that did not help, the problem is with the HC2.
I have heard about other that have installed an remote switch that power cycle the HC2 when such problem arises. This is not the solution for me, I can’t accept a solution like that since the Fibaro HC2 should work well without!

This is become very annoying; I can’t trust the system anymore.
I have removed all the z-wave security components like door locks, only the non-vital components are left. If the problem is not fixed soon with a new FW, I have to replace the HC2 with another system.
Anyone with the same problem?
Any solutions?

 

 

Edit:
I have been informed from folks at home that the 
automation does not work either.
So it seems that the HC2 just locked in some way, I have as informed, power cycle it in order to get it work again.

 

Edit2:
I have now concluded that this is more like a freeze of the system, as other have reported with version 4.540.
If it is not resolved with the next update, there will be an used HC2 for sale on eBay…

Hi,

I have also the same issue since an update that occured in June/July. (i didn't remember the release)

My HC2 freezes every 4/5 days!! it becomes very annoying and this trouble must clearly be fixed.

I have uploaded the dumplog (http://ip-addres-hc2/api/service/logsDump), but the file seems to be crypted.

Could you please help me how to open it?

Hi

 

I have updated the HC2 to 4.560 firmware and it's seems to be okay everything.

Always the same freeze for me with 4.560 firmware (every 5/6 days)

same problem here.

hc2 looses connection and i have to reboot it everthing is blocked. nothing is working anymore until reboot. after some houers the same problem again.

i hate to add to this but i am having the same issue. i am used to the fibaro hc2 crashing weekly but this now seems to be happening more frequently.

it happens now every day twice. something is wrong and i would like to have an official statment of fibaro or i will post this problem in every onlineshop in switzerland. the lack of support here is very bad. i thought fibaro is better then this!!!!

Still the same and no reaction from Fibaro. I tried by mail and by phone. on the phone the are not even reachable. i looks like the company is closed down! the number seams not to work.

Same here with 4.560. Had this for weeks. Same with the firmware before. Really annoying

J'ai contacté fibaro et ils ont regardé le fichier log lors d'un blocage ... ils n'ont rien trouvé.

 je vais finir par me laisser   .... Avec les blocages hebdo, ce système devient en l'état inutilisable

I am right now to give it back to the seller.There is a funny thing to pay so much and not having a realy good support and software.Changing to something else raspberry pi and free or payid software.I cant sell a broken system to my customers.
