HC3 and Quick Apps

Question

When I create a quick app e.g. a switch, then I have the option to add various buttons in the configuration of the device control using drag and drop.

In the iOS app I only see the Quick App and not the different buttons.

What is the meaning of these?

And how do they become visible?

Greetings!

I have same problem (in iOS and Android). Probably bug in mobile apps.

There is also problem with plugins that are not visible in mobile apps (ie. WakeOnLan plugin)

Do you think that the btn_1 to btn_4 should be visible on the HC3 frontend?

Confirmed. AFAIK extra buttons do not show in app, only main function (like "switch" in your case).  Fibaro knows and "this will be fixed in one of the next releases".

Not right now, at least not directly... Not sure about Fibaro's plans here. Focus is an "App" support.

So, a related question. How do you read/get the value of a "slider" element?

Ah, of course they get it as argument...

...really need them to publish the QuickApp docs.

Hopefully we'll see "complete" examples of QuickApps/scenes that users just need to change small bits in (example their own device id's) to get fully functional solutions. For non-coders a fully functional example is easier to read. But it'll come in time, I think. Would be good if Fibaro published some, too.

A QuickApp Device (QD) could allow the deviceIDs etc to be configured by setting quickAppVariables - no need for the user to go into the code.

In the past we only had IP and port that was (misused) for configuration - now we have a more generalised way to do it.

I think we can see some really good things with these. And, I guess Fibaro will come with some frequent updates in the months to come :) I just got my HC3 yesterday, and will try to learn more coding with it now. But first I need to transfer everything from the HC2.

May be the better idea is to "transfer *some*things from HC2";  Prepare the HC3 (actually yourself) - and then move rest of devices ;)

Yeah, i do not know the complexity level of Your system, so - if it's just a "click the switch remotely", then yeah, no real need to know differences before The Move, but if there is little bit more, then the first plan may be to study new system.

I'm doing it already in steps, moving some basic stuff to the HC3 first. I have no panic doing the move, both HC2 and HC3 can co-exist a little while :)
