Problem with Waking UP randomly

Question

Posted

I have set up in my z-wave network this device a few days back.

My whole setup is I am using the single button for opening my garage door and the device is configured to wake up every  64800 seconds which is 18 hours to send the battery status.

My problem is that the device wakes up randomly when I press the button to open the garage door.

Faulty device or wrong configuration.

I am attaching the xml of the device used.

In addition, I am attaching you logs when I single press the button in order to open the garage door.

Garage door never opened  and the device woke up.

Looks like faulty hardware in Fibaro Button.
Please start RMA procedure and replace it :)

    PS
Device do not need to wakeup periodically to send battery reports, it sends it automatically.

I have already talked to the merchant and they will replace it.

If the device does not wake up how the device will it report the battery level and how often?

5% change will be reported - time has nothing to do with it :)

    Good to know.

So, the wake up is not needed in my  case.

This the case for all the battery operated devices for zwave or it depends from the device and the brand?

    Yes.
In case of Fibaro devices -> all of them reports battery as unsolicited reports - no need to pull battery level from them.
Of course correct association group must be set to controller node id.
