HC3 and Hue?

nicman

Question

Hi everbody!

I just bought the HC3 after using Homey for quite a while and starts to wonder if i just invested a lot of money down the drains?

The problem i have is that i can not see any Philips Hue lights in the Iphone app... I can se them in the Dashboard in my computer but not in the app..

I am doing something wrong? Can I get it to work?

Thank you all in advance for some guidance.

BR

Nick

  • Thanks again! Works good!

But I really hope that Fibaro will sort this out so you will be able to control brightness and colors from the app...

Nice to hear that it works well for you so far.

Native support for Hue in the app is a must in my opinion and I hope it will come sooner than later. As for support of brightness and color - I'm sure this is also possible via the Quick App, but I did not had the time to look into it yet.

Have Hue running now smoothly with local connection between HC3 and Hue Bridge. Works great...

Would be cool if you could change settings from the Philips Hue Sync box as well ;) (or at least turn it on, when it did not detect the USB connection of the media box again.... :')

I'm working on my own hue QA support for all hue devices. It's still under development ...

    Here is some examples ?

Main device where you can directly create QA for Lights, Group of Lights, Temperature sensors, Light sensors, Motion sensors and Hue switches. There is also support for more hue bridges.

I find that the Hue and HC3 works "slower" than with the HC2. If I for instance turn on 3 Hue lamps at the same time, it could miss one etc. If I have a scene that turns on a light, then changes it's brightness, and then it's color, it can miss for instance to change the color. Anyone have the same experience?

The development of QA for Philips Hue is almost done ?

I need some beta testers but only a few experienced users that don't have HC3 in real "production" because there are some problems with current fibaro firmware and huge QA (problems with backup and restore system, sometimes with restart HC3). I hope that fibaro will solve it quickly ...

@petrkl12 I'm not new in home automation, but new at HC3. Don't have it in production so I would be happy to test.

I have arround 50+ HUE devices. bulbs, sensors, switches

I might be able to help with Swedish translation.
