How to get sensors in Alarm Panel of HC3

Question

Posted

I have a motion sensor connected to a double switch S1. What needs to be done to get the switch integrated in the alarm panel? An alarm zone is defined, but no devices are shown to get selected. Seems easy, but I can't find.

Could you please post screen shot of your devices list?

Device 73 (double switch) is connected via s2 to an existing motion sensor. The device type is fibaro binary switch. I assume, this must somehow be changed.

That's what I afraid of... your motion sensor is not part of included devices.

While defining alarm the list of devices include only devices with alarm interface. Double switch is not part of that.

The workaround for that is to create QA as a sensor and when double switch activated to set QA sensor accordingly, it will activate alarm

many thanks, that's what I feared. I dont really understand why there is nothing like type "alarm" for all devices. I'l try the work around.

What type of motion sensor gives 230V?

The double relay s1 needs 230V on the S ports. ( see attached image from manual)

You need to use a Smart Implant for the motion sensor. This will resolve the alarm problem.

Most of the motion sensors has dry contact relay (NO or NC) . So you can connect 220VAC trough the relay

I agree it doesn't a safe connection... usually it 12VDC
