afaik protection is part of "zwaveProtection" interface, so one need first to add it before localProtectionSupport and/or localProtectionState can be changed, e.g.

i played with parent / child combination, and additionally played with mock plugin (which is Fibaro internal plugin to emulate devices), and got exact same result:

- interface "zwaveProtection" can be added
- properties are there
- BUI not showing any local protection elements., so something is still wrong or just blocking the Display (maybe @A.Socha have idea)

 

EDIT: protection seems to be not working on QAs, even with properly set values (via api.post setProtection or manually) one can still turn on the QA switch.
