I don't understand the HC3 Alarm when the alarm hits

Question

Posted

Hi All,

Can anyone share his implementation/thoughts of using the HC3  partly as an alarm system? Caus'e i think i might oversee something.

When i set the alarm on the HC3 (based on al doorsensors), the red alert on both the menu and on my iphone show when the door is opened. But on my iphone it only shows a red icon. No Sound, no triggering, no vibration, nothing.

How do you wake up at night when you're not at home and you're alarm goes off? Or should i write s simple scene that reads the alarm and sends a push message to my phone? this cant't be true, can it?

any insights greatly appreciated!

did you already find a solution?

yes and no. Of course i can write my own triggers for alarm, but that was not what i was looking for. I expected some more noise from my app when the alarm hits. After all, you can define alarm zones in the HC3, set them active when you leave, but when the alarm is breached you have to write your own scene apparently. The app does show a red alarm, but you cant define a noise or trigger unless you write something yourself. I simply cannot imagine that this designed this way.
