adding parameters without a template

Question

Posted

Hi, i am trying to add a parameter for my neo coolcam motion sensor to switch off the red led. According to the documentation this should be parameter 10 and it should be set to 0. The issue is that when I add the parameter, it does not stick. The description field stays empty no matter what I try. The device does adopt the new setting after a wake up, but the led keeps blinking when motion is detected.

Hi there.

you need to wake up the device to store that parameter. Triple click.

I did wake the device up with a triple click and it does report the right setting back, as I said in my question, but the ligth still flashes when detecting motion and the description field stays empty no matter how often I change it.

I get exactly the same problem when trying to turn off the beep on an AeoTec wallmote quad.

this is after their tech people said there was no template for this device and that was the way to do it!

    frustrated....
