Door open for a period of time

Hi all!

 

How do i use block scene or lua in Hc3 if i want a push notification if a door is open for a certain of time (5 mins) and the temperature outside is 15 degrees or below?

I dont want a notification for just an open door but if someone leaves it open...

Just adde the condition of the temperature. This scene is for the three doors in ly house that open up to the outside

sure! use blocks.

 

if you do not needs calculate how many times the door was opened.

if you  do not needs annoyed user to close the doors priodically

if you want  annoyed user at summer time (cuz your block will annnoyed users when you WANT vent your room at the subber time)

and finally if you do not needs share the current state of doors in globaks - YES 

blocks it's for you!

The stars are for hc2. Unfortunately, I'm not a developer and I don't really understand what to do with this file. I changed the device numbers but unfortunately nothing comes of it.?

You are absolutely 100 % right: I do not care about all these terrible things (and certainly not if I need to write many lines of code to avoid them) !!!

@10der I love your contributions here and I hope you will keep doing that for a long time. Thanks for that. I also prefer LUA for everything although I am not a programmer. But these comments you made are a bit arrogant and not very friendly.

The poster did not ask to count the number of times the door was opened.

The reason of the script is to close the door if it was left open, sow this will not be annoying in his eyes.

In the summertime it is above 15°C, so this will not be an issue.

The poster did not ask to save the state in a global variable, and this is also possible with bock scenes (at least in HC2).
