In HC3 battery-powered devices lack a free field to indicate the date of battery insertion.
For example on the genaral tab.

It was a good idea to be able to enter the date of battery replacement for a battery-powered device.

I usually write the date on the battery, but it's more complicated to check.

I run a script to check the batteries and replace them when almost empty. A date wouldn’t help with a forecast, because the battery usage depends on lots of factors, other then time.

But maybe there is an other usage of a start date, just wondering.

Yes, it is true that the lifespan varies, but when a battery starts to run out, I replace all batteries with the same start date. It will be easier to maintain them then.
