Adding devices in S2 mode

Mark Manning

Question

When I try to add a ZWave device using the 'Add in security mode if device supports it', if the device supports S2 encryption I don't see anywhere to add the DSK and adoption doesn't complete. This has happened with an Aeotec Doorbell 6 and a Fibaro Double Smart Module (FIBEFGS-224). Both devices can be added without security. Where should I be adding the code?

Hi,

I have the same problem. I have many Smart Relays, but there is no option to enter the DSK for the S2 encryption.

I have two center (HC3 and HC3L), but I did not see any option to enter the DSK key for any devices.

Fibaro Support? Any documentation or advice how devices can be forced to use S2 encryption?

Gabor

You guys probably use ZW 2 engine instead od ZW 3. To switch to ZW 3, you would need to factory reset your gateway and do everything from scratch. Migration Wizard ZW2 to ZW3 will come, when ZW 3 engine is mature enough.
