HC3 and NVR for IP cams

Dave_TOB

Question

Hello

I wondered if anyone could help me please prior to my purchase of an HC3 controller (full model not lite) with a couple of questions? -

When using IP cameras, would the HC3 act only as a live view device, or would it be possible with the addition of SSD/hard drive (either internal/external/ or NAS) and then have the functionality of an NVR?

I have an existing Hikvision NVR and IP cams but am not keen on their NVR for various reasons.

I currently have Smartthings and use Webcore, which I believe only works with Smarthings, is there an equivalent (and easy to understand!) rules engine for HC3?

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave, You can't add a hard drive to home centre. You'll need a stand alone NVR.
