HC3 needs to be rebooted every few days

Question

Posted

We have a HC3 in the office and every week it stops working and needs to be rebooted

Is this a problem anyone else is dealing with? Are there any solutions more permanent than having to reboot every time?

I have that necessity also. Some scenes stop to work, interections with devices get pretty slow... I end up rebooting it.

Check the RAM. It looks like it is building up and when/if it uses more than 90-95% the hub starts to get problems. This happens all the time in my HC3. A reboot removes a lot of the RAM used, but after the reboot it immediately starts building up again. I have to perform a reboot approx. every third week because of this. With the former firmware this problem was much bigger (I had to perform a reboot every second day), but it is still far from solved.

Quickfix - is Backup, and deselecting "Save the contents of History" - and then restore

Guys< try this it works for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make a backup without history>>>>>> ckeck memory usage

Be surprised!

My memory usage was climbing from 28% into 54%

That is like deleting your history (also possible from the API)

Eddy yes and no!

Before I did as discribed before I deleted history with API no difference 50% Memory in use.

Now 30% in use and on the total 46% free

Just try it by yourself

Succes,

@A.Socha Most of the time I restart because it lost connection with the slave gateway and cannot control any devices connected to the slave gateway.  However, in the connect gateway setting page, everything looks normal (the slave gateway stated connected).  This happened randomly every 2-3 days.  Is it the know issues of the firmware or it only happen to me?  Do I need to create ticket?

Have same problem, and have to use the Quickfix - is Backup, and deselecting "Save the contents of History" - and then restore.

Open a support ticket to Fibaro.

Ja też posiadam taki sam problem czy to wiąże się z bardzo dużą ilością informacji zapisywanych w historii ? Jak zoptymalizować taki problem ?
