Question

Posted (edited)

Hello

I am trying to get my GPS location from Fibaro hc3 scene, but it gives back a wrong location.

GPS is turned on on my mobile, and on mobile it shows the exact location, but in FIBARO it is not working.

My ID in the system is 2.

I am using this formula

local Ulocation = fibaro.getValue(2, "Location")

but it gives back a completely wrong address. Any help would be appreciated..thanks

For those, who have struggled with GPS in Fibaro, here is what i found.

    1. Make sure you have enabled Location in your android device for Yubii APP. Set it for Always allow.

    2. Change your HC3 location, in settings/general/location panel. Set it for the exact GPS coordinates for your home.

    3. Enable "Allow geofencing" in Yubii APP settings.

    4. Be logged out as admin user from your home computer.

Actually the last one was the problem for me. I didn't know there is this condition. I think this is not a correct approach from Fibaro, but at least i found it.

If you still want to be logged in at PC as admin, then you need to cretae another user, give him the permissions, and set up the phone number. When done, use this user in your scenes for GPS location checking.

same for tablet on the wall, if any, the best is to work with separate user here.
