Ghosting – Garage door open without any scene started or switches activation

[Fibaro HC3 v5.090] + [FGBS-222 v5.2 EU | firmware: 5.2]

 

Urgent help needed!

Sine 2 weeks, I notice that my garage door was opening, closing, opening + closing without any scene started or switches activation. My stress at the moment is very high and I need to find a solution: during the day I’m with “my heart in my hands”, thinking that my garage will be open automatically and some will enter my home… not pleasant at all!

(actual version) but issues continue

- Not at home all the time, but identified that this happens around the same time of the day.

- Noticed several cycles of open and closing, with the final status varying (sometimes open, sometimes closed)

- No scene created for the time it takes place (for this or other device)

 

 

Questions:

- There are some LOG that I can see to understand what activate the door?

 

 

Any advice or recommendations are welcome… I’m really is stress because the security of my house its compromised!

I had that too, in my desperation I replaced the relevant relay switch FGS222.

After 5 years of operation, various other Zwave modules (motion sensors, wall plugs, dimmers ... all from Fibaro) have also failed.

Did you change the Z-wave engine to 3.0 during upgrade to 5.08xxxx?

I saw very strange behavior of switches and sensors when you don't use Z-wave 3.0 engine!

After your post I checked with more details may sensor and... it is also an FGBS-222 (v5.1 EU) ?. I installed it around 1 year ago (end 2020) and I bought it new... 

What is strange for me is that happens around the same time of the day - it must be also connected with the HC3 because the sensor don't have any "internal clock".

 

Already open a ticket and waiting for the answer.

Honestly I just performed the update... no clue if I upgraded the Z-wave engine to 3.0. ?

 

Checking the sensor config:

Z-Wave type: 3

Z-wave version: 6.2

I assume is using Z-wave 3.0 engine.

 

Already open a ticket and waiting for the answer.

Z-wave type: 3 does not mean you use Z-wave engine 3. See in Swagger under settings/info what “zwaveEngineVersion” you have.

You need to perform factory reset to switch to Z-wave engine3.0. Unfortunate you'll need to re-include your devices...

To verify your Z-wave engine  version, check your HC3 settings

Do you have a wireless remote to the opener?

 

Im thinking maybe one of your neighbors bought a new device that interfere with your opener.

 

What if you unplug your HC3, will the garage still open?

Follow the tips from cag014, I realized i'm still with engine 2.0. Apparently to change from engine 2.0 to emgine 3.0 I need to perform an "hard reset" - actually I'm having 56 sensors installed, and I don't feel the rush to reinstall everything...   ?

Yes, I do. Although you will need to re-include your devices again, but going forward you will need that anyway. Sooner is better...

- Yes, I have an wireless remote. My neighbor don't have any automatic gate (keeps a big dog inside his garden and uses traditional keys to open the garage door).

- I have an Fibaro Smart Implant FGBS-222 v5.2 EU installed directly to the engine thats opens the, I was thinking to disconnect it but looks difficult for me...

what about the power supply ? 

go to the power supply leave it off for 5 minutes then turn it back on ... does the door open when doing this?
