Hello,
I just moved to HC3 and decided to use the zwave engine 3.
I had a HC2 and about 70 devices. Yes, now there is a hard road to go.
But unfortunately the road gets even harder because I have some serious problems adding the devices.
I started with the fibaro smoke sensors. Some worked from the beginning, other had problems beeing added in S0 mode. Pretty often they were not configured right as well.
I guess 7 smoke sensors took me about 3 hours.
I tried the Fibaro wall plugs too. Same problems here. I tried 2 of them. Only one was recognized but unfortunately it is installed as a binary switch with no configuration and no secure mode. Right now it is not available anymore.
I tried a Fibaro dimmer 2. Same here. Recognized as binary switch. Not in secure mode. I removed it and until now I am not able to add it to the HC3 again.
I also have got some Widom modules. For example the dry contact module. They all worked fine on HC2. Seems like they are not compatible with HC3 at all. If I press the B-button absolutely nothing happens on HC3.
Yes, I know it is beta but as you can imagine, this is pretty frustrating.
Before I have to keep trying new ones, can you tell me which devices are guaranteed to work correctly at the moment?
Or are there criteria by which I can tell that a device is definitely not working?
Will every old device and third party module work sooner or later with HC3 engine 3 or where will a cut be made?
After all, the smoke alarms seem to be stable. At least something.
Thanks.
regards
