It seems that the Heat Controller might have uploaded the previous update and communication during the second one failed.

Try to update the device once again and if needed bring the Heat Controller closer to your gateway till the update is done.

 

Here are three recommended steps that should help in general to proceed with the update:

 

- The device cannot be added in security mode

- Bring it as close to the gateway as possible

- Make sure that the battery is at least 60% full.

yes, done. Removed, added again w/o security and update
