Get current sensor state

Kees Buth

Question

I am new to LUA, but hgave experience programming. I am using  HC3.

I want to check in a LUA script the current state of a sensor (in this sample a motion sensor).

If I create a block scene, convert it to LUA this is the trigger:

{
  conditions = { {
      id = 80,
      isTrigger = true,
      operator = "==",
      property = "value",
      type = "device",
      value = true
    } },
  operator = "all"
}

So I would expect this code:

val=fibaro.call(80"value")
print(tostring(val))

to show 'true' in the debug window. But it shows nil.

How can I check in to code part (I want to check the current state for multiple sensors).

Thanks in advange for your help.

val = fibaro.getValue(sensorId, propertyName)
print(tostring(val))

    What propertyname should I use? Seems in the conition they just use value.

    in most cases it is "value", bool for binary sensors and switches, int for multilevel switches and roller shutters.
    In "base" roller shutters property "state" is used (those can't report exact position in value).
