One Device with Padlock Icon (Safe Mode?)

Question

Posted

I have several Fibaro Dimmer 2 modules connected to HC3, but one of them has a little blue padlock icon next to it. I cannot seem to use this device in associations.

What does this blue padlock symbol mean and how do I resolve this?

I have tried removing the device from HC3 and re-adding it. Same result.

Thanks!

Devices is added securely to the system (there is a checkbox for enabling this before starting inclusion, just uncheck it before including device again).

    Gotcha.

So, this sounds like a good thing… any reason not to use secure mode for all devices?

Decryption and encryption require processing... which requires energy, so basically secure mode drains more battery than clear communication mode.

Thanks. You mean uncheck "add with S2 Security if supported"?. Because I did it and...
