I have the same problem have tried three times with the same results. Have run a repair after each attempt.

@PedroChacon and @oanamattias -  This is an annoying situation, I can relate to you, I am not a newbie and have had issues like you. Take your time to read up on "recovery" and take your time to make decisions.

 

You both have a recent backup, right? Better ask now before you do anything that makes things worse... This is advanced stuff and you probably have not done this before.

 

If you cannot boot a HC3 (or yubii) into a "running state" (so no website, and Z-Wave does not work), I would enter "recovery" mode and first try a switch system (If "A" is active switch to B)...

And read the chapter on "Recovery" under "Maintenance". There are several options, for example, you can install a different firmware version and restore your data, with or without history.

After a few hours I looked and it was working, but the update has not been carried out, I will wait for the next version to update, since it had a recent backup, the only thing that has happened is that I wasted my time without further ado.

If someone experienced this issue please download logs from the system after switching back to working version (using <gatewayIP>/api/service/logsDump path).
Please send me the archive in PM, it will help us resolve this to next version.

My learning with Fibaro in general is: Skip all Beta releases, I only update with final/stable releases and overall I run a very stable HC3.

 

Allthough sometimes it is tempting.....

I would prefer that the update light on the box will someday only trigger on a stable release.

@oanamattias, looking at your HC3 SN, is it pre-production unit or produciton one?

 

In case of pre-production (Alpha) unit there is missing NICE eeprom, that is need for 5.101 onwards, so 5.100.22 is terminal release for pre-production units. I too faced this problem and I contacted support if its possible to install eeprom in my HC3. Seems It is possible, but you would have to send Home Center in.
